During this module, we will compare principles of trauma-informed care to other therapeutic modalities and discuss their importance in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Participants will acquire an understanding of best practices when integrating psychedelic experiences and delivering psychedelic-assisted therapy through a trauma-informed lens.

Educational Goal

The educational goal of this module is for participants to better understand how to integrate Trauma Informed Care Principles to Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify 2 or more best practices for integrating psychedelic experiences that align with the trauma-informed principles of trustworthiness, transparency, and empowerment.

  • Identify 2 ethical obligations for delivering psychedelic-assisted therapy through a trauma-informed lens.

  • Identify 2 competencies for delivering psychedelic-assisted therapy through a trauma-informed lens.
