Description
This presentation will look at situations and contributing factors in the need for Resilience in our personal and professional lives. What causes stress, how does it affect us mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually? How can we overcome adversity and thrive in the face of adversity in today’s world. We will look at handling situations, ideas and world events which can negatively impact our lives and the lives around us and not only persevere but excel in all areas of our lives.

Learning Objectives
  1. Attendees will be able to understand the negative affects of stress in our lives and how to understand and develop coping skills.
  2. Learn how others have experienced extreme adversity and thrived in the face of extreme challenges
  3. Review opportunities to develop resilience in the face of adversity and turn challenges into opportunities for growth.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and The Global Exchange Conference (GXC).  Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Amedco is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains responsibility for this course. Social Workers completing this course receive GENERAL continuing education credits.
