This webinar will explore the considerations, evidence and approaches to supporting improved maternal mental health during the “first 1000 days”—the period from conception to age two. This period is key in infant development, maternal infant bonding and is a period of rapid change for both mother, father/family and infant.

Data regarding the presence of these challenges with mental health and substance misuse during this period and interventions that support positive outcomes for mother, baby and family.

  3. Identify approved screening tools and recommended patterns of screening during this time.
  4. Describe why a team based approach that includes integrated care with strong care coordination is the preferred model of care
