Trauma reactions reverberate long after the inciting event, creating long-lasting changes in the brain and body. These shifts affect self-perception, relationships, and daily functioning. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the effect trauma has on the brain and body and tools to promote nervous system regulation for healing.

  1. Identify the 3 parts of the brain most impacted by trauma.
  2. Describe how trauma shows up in the body.
  3. Demonstrate emotion regulation skills that help with nervous system regulation.
