Working with individuals who have chronic suicidal thoughts/behaviors can be taxing to the clinician. This workshop covers the skills needed to tolerate risk and provide effective treatment. It will focus on clinical self-care, managing vicarious trauma, and burnout.

The educational goal of this course it to increase knowledge about chronic suicidality.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Identify 3 ways to shield against vicarious trauma.

Develop a clinical self-care plan.

Recognize 3 skills needed to tolerate the suicidal wish.
