As the epidemic of substance use disorder rages on in our communities, families of those with SUD are often desperate to get their loved one the life-saving services they need. Many families seek to have and intervention with their loved one and a trained professional as an effort to get them help. Though interventions may be a helpful tool for some people, not every family is the right fit. This workshop will demystify the intervention process and include discussion of pre-intervention work, working with the families to create new healthy boundaries, and the business side of an intervention.

Participants will gain increased competency in the intervention process.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Assess if an intervention is right for a family.
2. Identify 2 different modalities of intervention work.
3. Identify 3 benefits and risks of intervention work.
