Description

Though stalking is a very common experience, with 1 in 6 women and 1 in 19 men experiencing it in their lifetimes, it is rarely discussed. Stalking seriously impacts all aspects of a survivor’s life, but our society still often treats it as a joke. This workshop will explore the common dynamics of stalking, the legal definitions of the crime, and ways to help clients who may experience this scary and violating experience.

Brittany Hunt is a licensed clinical social worker in Louisiana and Rhode Island with a passion for social justice. She has worked with survivors of sexual assault in clinical, medical, legal, and military settings and as a case manager for people seeking abortions. Brittany is a graduate of the Tulane School of Social Work and works as a sex therapist at SHIP in Providence, Rhode Island, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing culturally inclusive, medically accurate, and pleasure-guided sexuality education, therapy, and professional training to adults.
