Spirituality is a huge component in the lives of many clients and clinicians alike. This presentation aims to help professionals ethically integrate spirituality into assessment and interventions in clinical practice. Spiritual assessment is an essential part of understanding clients’ beliefs, values, behaviors, perceptions and world view.

Participants are expected to gain competencies in integrating spirituality into assessments and treatment.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define the relationship between religious beliefs, worldview, and values
- Utilize Spiritual Genograms, Spiritual Lifemaps, Spiritual Histories, and Spiritual Ecomaps
- Apply sensitive practice techniques in a manner consistent with professional ethics and self determination
- Identify three spiritually sensitive coping strategies that can promote healing and resilience
This program has been approved for 1.5 CE clock hours by the Louisiana Counseling Association as authorized by the Louisiana Professional Counselor Licensing Board of Examiners.
Course meets the qualifications for hours of continuing education credit for LPCCs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
