This workshop will focus on what is required to be an ethical supervisor and the ethical responsibilities of a clinical supervisor. Participants will learn to recognize unethical supervision and examine how small things can lead to big issues, including lack of documentation. This workshop will focus on cultural humility in the supervisory relationship and end by touching on the importance of ethical gatekeeping and remediation.

The educational goal of this workshop is to increase knowledge on ethical supervision.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Describe three requirements of a clinical supervisor.

Identify two components of a supervisory relationship.

Discuss two or more multicultural and diversity factors in the supervisory relationship.

Describe two or more examples of unethical supervision.

Define ethical gatekeeping and identify two or more reasons why it is important to the profession.

Describe when and how to develop and implement a remediation plan in clinical supervision
