This course will define post-traumatic growth and delve into an exploration of how personal growth can be experienced in the aftermath of a traumatic event. Additionally, the course will offer clinical interventions and modalities to utilize with individuals in the process of attaining post-traumatic growth.

The educational goal of this workshop is to increase knowledge about post-traumatic growth and empower therapists to help their clients achieve resiliency after trauma.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Define and differentiate between post-traumatic stress disorder and post-traumatic growth.

Explain the concept of trauma leading to positive change and identify at least two examples.

Identify two or more clinical interventions or modalities that can be used with clients to achieve post-traumatic growth.
