Description

Self care is often thought of as participation in an activity outside of the work space to recharge one’s batteries, but this presentation provides an alternative that can be woven into the work day to avoid issues like compassion fatigue and burnout, and may improve overall performance. Emotional intelligence, often taught to and used by business leaders to manage the emotional rollercoaster that goes with leadership, is a perfect tool for the clinician to manage their internal emotional responses.
