The presentation will focus on what behavior design research has found creates lasting change and what does not create lasting change as a foundation for understanding how family can be leveraged in a very specific, structured, and positive way to work as a team (including their newly recovering loved one) to reduce AMAs, increase compliance with aftercare recommendations, prevent or reduce length of relapse, rebuild trust and a sense of belonging in the family, and ultimately lead to durable family recovery.

- Explain the difference between outcomes and behaviors and why the two are often confused.
- Describe the workings of Structured Family Recovery and how it supports treatment, aftercare, whole-family recovery, and lasting change.
