Yoga is a philosophical system that provides a holistic approach to well-being, addressing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person. In this workshop, we will explore the concept of yoga as a tool in psychotherapy, learn about yoga’s efficacy in trauma-informed care, and participate in 3 practices that help to interrupt the mental commentary.

The goal of this workshop is to introduce yoga philosophy as a tool in psychotherapy and trauma-sensitive somatic practices.
- The objectives are as follows:
- Participants will be able to explain the meaning of the concept of yoga.
- Participants will be able to utilize yoga’s philosophical principles in the psychotherapy setting.
- Participants will be able to utilize trauma-sensitive somatic practices in the psychotherapy session.
This program has been approved for 2.5 continuing education clock hours by the Louisiana Counseling Association as authorized by the Louisiana Professional Counselor Licensing Board of Examiners.

TPN.health, #1766, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
