Dr. Randy Martin

As a psychologist and Lead Product Manager, Dr. Randy Martin helps the Wellness Division strategically develop innovative products and services. He helps Humana win business by responding to proposals and representing the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) product in finalist presentations to corporate clients. Dr. Martin frequently presents webinars and participates in panel discussions on wellness and mental health topics. In 2018, Randy was awarded the Caron Foundation EAP Community Service award in the Greater New York City Area.

Prior to moving into this current position, Randy was the Clinical Director of the EAP Access Center for seven years. With more than 36 years of experience, Randy has worked in both nonprofit and corporate sectors, including mobile crisis teams, community mental health centers, developmental disability organizations, and crisis intervention services. Prior to joining Humana in 2011, Randy was the Director of Crisis and Behavioral Health Technology at Vibrant Mental Health (formerly the Mental Health Association of New York City), running New York City’s primary crisis hotline as part of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Randy earned his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University, a master’s degree in Counseling from the State University of New York at Albany, and a bachelor’s in Psychology from Wake Forest University. He has appeared on various news and radio outlets, including WebMD and CNN Radio, and been featured in articles in The Wall Street Journal’s Market Watch and HR Executive Online, to name a few. He is a member of the International Positive Psychology Association, the American Psychological Association, and the Occupational Clinical Professionals’ Group. In 2018, he published a book chapter on using exercise to treat depression, anxiety, and trauma in Healing Trauma from the Inside Out, by Pamela Tinkham, LCSW.
