Description

This module addresses the fundamental component of all successful practices: purpose. As healers, we are often tasked with creating intentional services/programming and products that aid our clients and communities on their healing journeys. It is not enough to “hang a shingle” with our names on it, buy a couch and a couple of chairs, and open for business! We are called to operate at a higher level of being, a level that is client-centered first, business-centered second! This module encourages participants to become clear about their “why” by examining values, desired impact, goals, areas for development, and more!

Target Audience
  • Counselors
Educational Goal

In this module, participants will be able to identify and articulate how their personal values, strengths, and goals will influence their professional identity as both clinicians and private practice professionals.

  • Identify at least 2 advantages and 2 pitfalls of becoming a private practice owner.

  • Conduct a comprehensive self-assessment to identify core values, strengths, and areas of development in relation to their private practice aspirations.

  • Create an action plan with a minimum of 3-5 S.M.A.R.T goals that allow them to map out their career paths as private practice owners that align with their ambitions, ensuring greater satisfaction and purpose in their professional lives.
