The number of people who self-identify as part of the LGBTQI+ community is growing, yet this group is still largely misunderstood and mistreated. Statistics show that this group is more likely to experience trauma and less likely to seek help from traditional healthcare, recovery, and mental health organizations.
As professionals, it is our ethical obligation to serve this group effectively. This workshop will explore ways to work with LGBTQI+ clients that are non-judgmental and non-stigmatizing.
- • Social Worker
