J.L. Moreno, who founded psychodrama in Vienna in the early 1900s, described it as ‘a scientific exploration of truth through dramatic method’. Psychodrama can be done in a group setting or (psychodrama Aux Dux) in an individual session. When done as part of Group Psychotherapy, each group member is a therapeutic agent of the other. To be understood and held emotionally and physically by a group member not previously enmeshed in the story can be a healing experience. The psychodrama session has three parts: the warm-up, the action, and the sharing. In this training, participants will learn the basics of psychodrama and witness a demonstration of some of psychodrama’s powerful techniques
