Chuck Ingoglia will provide an overview of national policy – where we are, what is new, and what might be expected in the coming months. With funding and initiatives flowing from not only the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, 2020 Omnibus Spending bill, and American Rescue Plan, but also from the recently passed infrastructure bill, opportunities abound. The Build Back Better Act, or the pieces of it that managed to get passed, is also expected to have a positive impact on those served by the behavioral health field. In this transformative era of integrated care and care management of social determinants of health, at a time when waivers and policy changes continue due to COVID, it is important for clinicians and others to be aware of the current rules, regulations, and resources, as well as what the future may bring to all three.
