This presentation will focus on the evolution of the brain into a social organ, the building and regulation of the brain within the context of relationships, and the genetic, epigenetic, and biological mechanisms activated by relationships.

  • Participants will understand multiple evolutionary mechanisms which support and advance attunement, empathy, and compassion.
  • Participants will learn to recognize mechanisms of “sociostatic” regulation among individuals.
