In this workshop, we’ll explore the way sharing stories from lived experience supports recoverees in our role as peer professionals. We’ll identify some of the roots of our own culture and style of storytelling and question whether we might be causing unintended harm. We’ll finish by discussing the impact we WANT to have with our lived experience by connecting with personal and recovery core values and desired outcomes.

This workshop is approved for 1.5 hours of annual required continuing education credits by the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Behavioral Health for LA Recognized Peer Support Specialists.
