The course is relevant for anyone in the role of supervising Peer Specialists. 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Assess your organization’s commitment and level of readiness for integrating peers into the workforce.

  • Identify Pillars of Peer Support for Supervisors.

  • Recognize core values of peer support in the National Practice Guidelines for Peer Supporters and how they relate to the Peer Specialist role.

  • Locate rules in the Louisiana PSS Code of Ethics that apply in various situations.

  • Determine what action you might take as a supervisor in a situation that involves Peer Specialist staff, and compare that answer against answers of experienced Peer Specialist supervisors.
