Secondary and Vicarious Trauma are important aspects to be aware of. This presentation will address learning about trauma, burnout, compassion fatigue, moral distress, and trauma and the brain. It will go over the cause, signs and symptoms, and vulnerability factors for each topic. Along, with discussion solutions for treatment with perceived support and assessment tools.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss secondary and vicarious trauma and learn the signs and symptoms.

  • Participants will learn how to be aware of vulnerability factors and what to look out for.

  • Participants will be given tools for solutions with treatment and learn how to identify support options.
