Fertility challenges affect 1 in 8 couples and the experience can be isolating and traumatic for those who experience it as well as the families who support them. This course is an introductory exploration of the infertility experience from a psychological and sociological standpoint. The course will explain the language of medical treatment and critical ways a therapist can support the individual and the couple

Participants will gain increased knowledge of infertility’s effects on individuals, couples, and families.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify 4 areas of emotional vulnerability experienced by those with infertility challenges
- Define infertility as a medical experience
- Identify 3 strategies to support the client experiencing infertility
