Sociometrics are a user-friendly way to introduce experiential, embodied forms of therapy that engage and bond groups as well as enliven one-to-one work. They naturally activate the social engagement system in service of healing through co-regulation. Sociometrics are psychoeducational; they incorporate the research that needs to be taught in recovering from c-PTSD into a lively format that gets people on their feet, connecting, and sharing. Sociometrics build the skills of self-regulation, emotional literacy and resilience.
Early forms of childhood trauma can seriously impact how information and energy are processed by the body/mind. Psychodrama is the seminal role-play method and one of the original mind/body approaches to therapy. In this experiential workshop, we will learn how psychodrama and sociometry interface with neuropsychology toward a fuller mind/body form of healing.
