2. Participants will increase their level of awareness by further understanding the critical developmental milestones to empower emancipating youth SEND.
3. Participants will increase their level of awareness by further understanding the differences between the medical and social models of disabilities and how transitional needs for emancipating youth with SEND varies from secondary to post-secondary endeavors.
4. Participants will increase their level of awareness by further understanding the prevalent trends in the achievement gaps and the regulatory functions associated with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in higher education.
5. Participants will increase their level of awareness by further exploring current trends in transitional supports, advocacy strategies, interventions to empower emancipating youth with SEND anticipating post-secondary education endeavors.
