Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is at the forefront of a paradigm shift in the landscape of mental health treatment, particularly in the realm of psychedelic-assisted therapy. As the field continues to evolve, it’s becoming increasingly evident that the integration of IFS principles holds immense potential for optimizing therapeutic outcomes and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Led by a leading expert clinician in both IFS and psychedelic therapy, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the synergies between these two modalities. Through a combination of didactic presentations, experiential exercises, case studies, and group discussions, participants will gain practical tools and insights to integrate IFS principles into their therapeutic approach. You’ll learn how IFS principles and techniques will equip you with valuable insights to enhance your work as a psychedelic-assisted therapist, before, during and after psychedelic sessions, empowering you to facilitate more effective healing and integration. Key highlights of the workshop include: Understanding the Core Concepts of IFS: Delve into the foundational principles of Internal Family Systems therapy, including the concept of the Self, parts, and the inner ecosystem. Exploring the Psychedelic Experience: Gain insight into the unique dynamics and challenges of the psychedelic journey, including the emergence of different parts and the activation and healing of trauma.
