At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Discuss physical activity as medicine; including history, pillars, and why physical activity is considered a natural elixir for the body and its importance in the treatment of Mental Health disorders.

Outline the health and wellness benefits of physical activity.

Explain the unhealthy relationship between Mental Health, sedentary lifestyle, Risk Factors and somatic comorbidities.

Qualify the physiological and biochemical, psychological, inflammatory and other theorized models of why physical activity and exercise can improve mental health and mental health symptoms.

Explain the importance of a Movement Expert as part of the Interdisciplinary Team including the barriers facing a team without one.

Outline a Mental Health Movement plan including goals, dosing, and other training variables.
