Description

Substance Use Disorder is on the rise in communities across the country, devastating the lives of individuals. Anyone who is familiar with SUD, whether through personal experience, professional experience, or the experience of a loved one, knows that it does not just affect the individual, however. The families of people with SUDs experience negative impacts and need treatment, too. This workshop will look at how to work with families on their roles and relationships using the Stages of Change Model to help them deal with Substance Use Disorder.

Lisa Hinson, LCDC, NCAC, NAI is an experienced counselor with 15 years In the field of substance use disorders. Working with the families and helping them navigate their loved one’s challenges with substances is her expertise. She works with individuals and couples as well. Finding the path and moving forward can sometimes be overwhelming. Helping you start that journey in a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate way is her goal. If you are questioning if you or a family member really has a problem with alcohol or drugs, she can help you as you learn more information and support. She provides assessments, Intervention services, case management, and treatment recommendations.
