At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe how psychedelics (MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine) work in the brain and body to induce psychological and physiological effects
  2. Discuss the safety profile of common psychedelics in both medical and non-medical contexts
  3. Explain the state of clinical research on MDMA, psilocybin, ketamine, and other psychedelic compounds for psychiatric indications
  4. Summarize how clinicians deliver psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and outcomes in clinical trials

Dr. Allison Feduccia

Allison Feduccia, Ph.D., is a neuropharmacologist who has authored 28 publications on psychedelics and mental health in peer-reviewed journals. She began researching MDMA in 2004, accumulating 17 years of experience in mental health research at UT Austin, UCSF, NIH, and MAPS. In 2018, she co-founded Psychedelic Support, a platform for education and to connect with psychedelic practitioners, and Project New Day, a 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation with the mission to help people overcome addiction and actualize mental health through responsible and legal use of psychedelics.
