Description
This presentation will focus on how therapists take care of their emotional well-being. Clinicians and EAPS who provide debriefings or defusings often experience vicarious trauma. How do they handle hearing the emotional traumas their clients share? How do they take care of their emotional well-being? We will connect the ‘dots’ of self- care and ethical challenges.

Libby Timmons, M.Ed., LISAC, CEAP. is known for her lively interactive presentations. Libby is the Co-Founder of Thrive with Chaos, which is an organization that focuses on the First Responder community. She has worked with the City of Tucson and Los Angeles County Fire Command Center to offer wellness, sensory, & self-care tools. She is a nationally recognized presenter. Libby has developed and facilitates a retreat for First Responders. Libby has assisted in developing peer support and AA meetings in Tucson for First Responders.
