This workshop provides an introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based approach developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan for treating a range of mental health conditions. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of DBT’s foundational principles, including its biosocial theory, dialectical philosophy, and the core modules of DBT skills training (Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness).
Through engaging discussions and practical examples, attendees will learn how to apply these concepts in various therapeutic settings to promote emotional regulation and effective coping strategies for clients struggling with intense emotions and impulsive behaviors.
