Shara Turner, LPC, NCC

Shara brings to Sabino Recovery a unique perspective and skill set as she has spent the last nine years in public health working with individuals diagnosed with various substance use and mental health disorders, complex trauma, and extreme environmental and social inadequacies. The challenges faced in this arena have provided her with a strong base of practice in diagnosis, treatment, and case management. The breadth and depth of her experience extend to crisis counseling, utilization management, and coordinator of a level I psychiatric facility. Most recently, Shara served as lead therapist and clinical supervisor of an 18-bed residential facility. At the helm, she developed and led an intensive outpatient equine program that markedly decreased recidivism to level I hospitalizations over a six-month period. In addition to attaining licensed professional counselor certification, she is certified by Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (Eagala) and versed in various therapeutic modalities, including DBT, CPT, and CBT. Shara’s passion lies in removing the stigma of diagnosis and treating the individual, utilizing an integrative and holistic approach.

Chelsey Valeri, LCSW

Chelsey is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Case Western Reserve University in 2016. Chelsey is a trained EMDRIA therapist in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. She is also trained in advanced trauma therapy modalities, including Somatic Experiencing® and Structural Dissociation theory. Chelsey has extensive experience treating many mental health and complex trauma-related disorders and has always had a passion for whole-person healing. After working in the mental health field for over ten years, Chelsey saw a need for true trauma treatment with various services for those suffering from mental health-related issues for years without any long-term reprieve.
