Description

Social justice is a term that resonates loudly within our community and evokes a variety of emotional responses. As the globe becomes more interconnected, our definition of diversity expands as does the discourse addressing social inequity or inequality specific to the microcosms of race, gender, sexuality, religion, and other identities. Social justice advocates sound the clarion call necessitating that all understand culturally diverse world views and remain avid proponents of training in competent practice. The heart of a social justice advocate beats unity understanding that it is requisite to cultural humility. The workshop aims to increase our knowledge in growing beyond competence, to the practice and teaching of cultural humility.
