Much attention is given to the treatment of substance use disorders, but how do we prevent substance abuse in the first place? This webinar is for anyone with a professional or personal connection to the recovery, treatment, and prevention communities on effective and evidence-based prevention approaches and how they correlate to the fields of treatment and recovery. Creating a shared language, dialogue, and tools strengthens the behavioral health field’s collective efforts to support individuals and families, work against stigma, and provide a holistic approach to healing.

Jane G. Clark

Jane G. Clark, MPA, CPS is an experienced national presenter who specializes in the field of prevention. She has served in roles at local, state, and regional levels within the U.S. prevention network as well as for American Indian Sovereign Nations and Native-serving organizations. Jane holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Prevention Specialist. She was awarded the 2014 Art of Prevention Award by the Addiction Professionals of North Carolina, as well as the 2009 Prevention Specialist of the Year award through the Oklahoma Drug and Professional Counselor’s Association. Jane is a member of NAADAC’s new Trainers by NAADAC project and has provided prevention-focused webinars for NAADAC since 2015, as well as a variety of trainings and presentations for mental health and substance use professionals since 2007.
