Therapists, counselors and professionals seldom understand the importance of being able to recognize transference and countertransference. This course will help therapists and other mental health professionals gain an understanding of themselves in order to fully be objective and help others in their journey of wellness. We will utilize simple assessments of self to be able to identify transference and countertransference and how to make a plan to address it. The course will also address how supervision can be helpful in addressing this often overlooked “hot spot” for mental health professionals.
