As Elisabeth Kübler-Ross stated, “Children are often forgotten mourners”. This presentation will address talking with and supporting children as they journey through grief. It will address children’s developmental levels and their understanding of death at each stage.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Differentiate between developmental levels of children and adolescent’s understanding of death.
2. Describe how to talk with children and adolescents about death and answer their questions for different developmental levels.
3, Identify 3 ways to show support for grieving children and adolescents.
