The helping professions can be uniquely challenging in their heavy workloads, emotional weight, and lack of support. Burnout is all too common and has an impact on not just professionals, but the clients they work with. This presentation will help participants recognize early signs of burnout in themselves and in their peers, and will explore ways to fight this problem and provide the best care possible to clients.

Participants will gain increased competency in burnout and boundaries in order to practice self care.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define burnout
- Identify 3 symptoms of burnout
- Name 2 levels of burnout
- List 3 causes of burnout
- Utilize 4 intervention strategies to fight and prevent burnout
Course meets the qualifications for hours of continuing education credit for LPCCs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
