This introductory workshop provides an essential overview of evaluation, remediation planning, and feedback techniques in clinical supervision. Designed for supervisors at the beginning of their journey, the session highlights the fundamental tools and processes needed to evaluate supervisee performance, implement remediation plans when necessary, and provide constructive feedback. Participants will gain practical knowledge on how to effectively document and monitor supervisee progress to ensure a structured and supportive supervisory experience.

Educational Goal

The goal of this training is to equip supervisors with foundational skills in evaluation, remediation planning, and providing feedback to support supervisee growth and ensure effective clinical supervision.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify 3 areas of evaluations used in the supervision process.

  • Explain differences between summative and formative feedback.

  • Describe 3 areas of focus when creating remediation plans in clinical supervision.

Arcella Daniels, PhD, LPC, CPCS

Dr. Arcella Daniels (formerly Trimble) is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified School Psychologist, Approved Clinical Supervisor, Consultant, and Master Teacher. She is an expert in Behavior Modification, Learning, Research, Supervision, and Training. During her tenure at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute, Dr. Arcella specialized in parent training and marriage and family therapy. Additionally, Dr. Arcella has worked as an assistant professor and contributing faculty member at several colleges and universities. Dr. Arcella has provided training and presentations for local and national conferences.

With 20+ years of experience, Dr. Arcella has worked with clients in mental health facilities (inpatient and outpatient clinics, university counseling center, community health organizations), businesses, schools, and private practice. In her clinical practice, Dr. Arcella uses cognitive behavioral treatments to promote wellness in individuals, couples, and women. Dr. Arcella also has experience in career and lifestyle development with millennials. As a consultant, she assists organizations and individuals with issues pertaining to diversity, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence and labor, behavior modification, and strategic planning. Dr. Arcella has served as a consultant for organizations such as the CDC, Spelman College, and DeKalb County Schools. Through the use of evidenced based treatment, data collection, assessment, and uniquely crafted experiential learning and behavioral activities, Dr. Arcella successfully enhances outcomes for individuals, groups, and businesses.

Eric Rodgers, MA, LPC

Eric Rodgers is a licensed Professional counselor and is the founder of Just for Men Behavioral Health.  He is also the Chief Operating Officer for the Professional Counseling Association of GA (LPCA). He has years of experience promoting mental health through leadership coaching and psychotherapy with a passion for career development and positive psychology.

Eric has earned a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Graduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology, BS in Psychology, AS in Coaching Psychology, and AAS in Paralegal Studies. He has worked in medical and psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, corporate crisis intervention and private practice. He has served as a clinical director for multiple facilities in Georgia. Eric has worked as the CPCS program manager and licensure consultant for LPCA as well as having served on the Board of Directors. Eric has advanced training in Rational Behavioral Emotive Therapy / cognitive behavioral therapy from the Ellis Institute.
