In light of the ample scientific evidence demonstrating that sleep disorders commonly co-occur in those struggling with substance use disorders, this program is designed to aid the audience in the identification of the most common sleep disorders seen in patients with addiction issues. Strategies will be reviewed for the effective assessment, diagnosis, and treatment interventions for sleep disorders in this population, including training in cognitive behavioral treatment of insomnia (CBT-I). Strategies for implementation of sleep wellness interventions into clinical work also will be discussed.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
