Co-morbid conditions often go undiagnosed and untreated in patients with addiction. This workshop will address the importance of diagnosing these conditions and addressing them effectively in treatment settings. By attending this session, participants will learn the importance of addressing co-morbid conditions in addiction; will understand the new treatments in treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders and PTSD; and learn about MAT.

Presenters
Dr. Vasavada graduated from Medical College Baroda, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda India in 1968 and specialized in psychiatry, pediatric psychiatry and more. After leaving India, he went to Down State Medical Center in Brooklyn where he did his Internship and Residency in Psychiatry. Dr. Vasavada graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine in 1972 and joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in Psychiatry.
Since August 1980, he has been serving Denton and Collin counties in private practice. He is Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, is a Distinguished Fellow of APA and Certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Vasavada is a Psychiatry specialist in Carrollton, TX and has been practicing for 42 years. He has worked as Medical Director at Psychiatric Centers in Texas and now is the Medical Director at Lakeside Center where he also has his own private practice. His specialties include Neurology and Psychiatry.
