Educational Goal
The educational goal of this workshop is to increase knowledge about trauma and environments.
Description
In this workshop, we will explain trauma and compare trauma-informed, trauma-responsive, and healing-centered care approaches. We will also discuss the various aspects that make up an environment (seen and unseen), their importance, and the direct and lasting effects they can have on patients and patient outcomes.

Presenters
Staci is a certified Mental Health Peer Specialist (MHPS) working as a Learning & Development professional. After 7+ years in direct peer services she began her involvement and education within the learning and development area of the industry. From facilitating to instructional design, Staci’s passion is to provide inclusive and dynamic learning experiences and connect with every participant she is able to work with. She has also worked with organizational teams to provide leadership and team building training programs, centering on the importance of workplace wellbeing and how to foster a sense of belonging. Staci has special areas of concentration in neurodiversity and behavioral addiction and believes genuine connection should be the foundation of all peer specialist and workplace initiatives.
