As supervisors, we are responsible for guiding our trainees’ professional development, including work-life balance, while they typically work with our higher need communities. This means that we are also responsible for watching our trainees for compassion fatigue. How do we do that successfully while meeting all the other supervision requirements? How do we know when to say when with our trainees? How can we encourage beneficence and nonmaleficence throughout the supervisory system?
