Educational Goal
The educational goal of this workshop is to increase knowledge about the impact pornography and sex addiction have on adolescents and their relationships with others.
Description
This presentation is an overview of pornography and sex addiction and its impact on individuals. We will focus on the impact of sexual compulsivity and pornography use in adolescents. Throughout this presentation, there will be discussion of the tools and therapeutic modalities to utilize when working with those struggling with pornography and sexual compulsivity. We will also review why this has become a more prevalent problem and the importance of addressing this problem.

Presenters
Olivia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, in both Louisiana and Mississippi. She is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Certified Partner Trauma Therapist, Brainspotting practitioner, and AAMFT Supervisor Candidate. Olivia has been doing clinical work since 2017, beginning her work in Mississippi at a residential men’s facility for sex addiction and compulsive sexual and relational issues. Over the years, Olivia has worked at residential facilities and in private practice, and currently serves as the Clinical Director for The Carpenter Shed in Monroe, Louisiana, working with adolescent males ages 16-20. Olivia’s primary focus in her work has been with couples and individuals experiencing betrayal and infidelity, individuals struggling with sexual issues and other compulsive behaviors, and families impacted by addiction. She has a passion for helping people through their traumas and the distorted narrative that comes from these traumas.
