Description

This course expands beyond traditional models for treating addiction by shifting from a modality-centered perspective to a principle-centered perspective. In this 8-part series, we’ll explore progressive modalities that align with select trauma-centered principles and qualities, incorporating contemporary neurological research, contributions from neurocardiology (HeartMath), Felt-Sense and Polyvagal applications to addiction treatment, and mindfulness-based somatic parts-work. Instructor Greg Liotta shares innovative strategies for treating addiction from the bottom up, relying on trauma-centered principles that hold the client in a deeply respectful, compassionate, and empowering space. Greg draws from 35+ years of clinical experience, culminating in a therapeutic approach incorporating some of the most cutting-edge technologies in modern addiction treatment. These 12 hours consist of (8) 1.5 hour modules.
