Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:

Deconstruct a social problem in their workplace and/or community using a set of evidence-based and proven problem-solving skills that can be adopted across any setting and applied to any social problem (ie: mental health crisis, homelessness, child welfare, poverty, etc.).

Identify the steps necessary to frame problems to key influencers to create positive and lasting change in organizations/ communities.

Examine empathy, compassion, other social practices of power and identify one or more ways to apply these practices to inspire and mobilize others to work collaboratively to solve a complex problem they care about.

Identify and apply at least two principles of the transformational leadership model.
Description

Shanequa E. Moore, LMSW is a thought-provoking leader, speaker, and non-profit expert. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the I’RAISE Girls & Boys International which has transformed the lives of more than 12,000 of New York City’s most vulnerable youth.
Ms. Moore has dedicated her life to creating opportunities in her community, lifting up young people out of poverty, and empowering local leaders to build a brighter future for the most disadvantaged families in their neighborhoods. Shanequa knows firsthand the hardships of growing up with low economic status and scant resources.
She is also the President and Founder, of Moore Success Consulting Services Inc, a firm that provides corporate and leadership training/coaching to small to mid-size nonprofits and professionals. Through Moore Success, Ms. Moore trains Social Workers in the following content areas: Social work practice, knowledge and skills; Social work research, programs, or practice evaluations; Social work management, administration or social policy; Social work ethics; Client communications and recordkeeping; Administrative supervision of licensed master social work and clinical supervision of licensed clinical social work practice.
