Description
Yoga is a philosophical system that provides a holistic approach to well-being, addressing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person. In this workshop, we will explore the concept of yoga as a tool in psychotherapy, learn about yoga’s efficacy in trauma-informed care, and participate in 3 practices that help to interrupt the mental commentary.

Presenters
Rev. Ani has been teaching yoga for 25 years and serves as a psychotherapist in private practice, interfaith minister, and spiritual director. She is currently a third-year Ph.D. student in integral & transpersonal psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, whose first two years of research was dedicated to the study of yoga’s benefits and philosophy. Rev. Ani has provided continuing education for counselors through the Louisiana Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling, for dietitians through the Council on Renal Nutrition, and for social workers through the National Association of Social Workers/Louisiana chapter. In her leisure time, Rev. Ani enjoys hiking, singing, and writing poetry and her blog from her porch in Church Point, LA. www.alovecenteredlife.com
