Description

This session is for clinicians who have the desire to work with children ages 10 and under while implementing a “starter pack” for play therapy interventions. We will review the benefits of play therapy, play therapy techniques, play therapy based on age groups, and parent consultations.

Presenters

Kierra Lloyd, LCSW-S

Kierra Lloyd is the owner and founder of Conscious Freedom, LLC, a mental health group practice located in Mansfield, Texas. Kierra received her social work degrees from Abilene Christian University and The University of Texas at Arlington. Kierra is a strong advocate for children’s welfare and pursued additional credentials to enhance her credibility in working with children.

Kierra’s credentials include:
· Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor (in Texas, Louisiana & California)
· Registered Play Therapist
· Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist
· Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner

Kierra has used her skills in various settings and worked with a wide range of parental concerns. The team at Conscious Freedom focuses on trauma, attachment styles, depression, and anxiety, and offers parent consultations to increase parental success. In addition to these ventures, Kierra is also nearing the end of her certifications in Child-Parent Relational Therapy, and Animal Assisted Play Therapy. Kierra enjoys working with children because children are excited about life. Their perspective of the world is genuine and every child deserves a voice. Kierra’s coping skills include laughing, listening to music, letting her creativity lead, and being with nature.
