Participants will be able to define harm reduction and its principles. They will learn about evidence based harm reduction interventions, examine how to build agency policies and procedures around harm reduction principle and define recovery through the lens of harm reduction and examine how agencies can implement harm reduction.

The educational goal of this workshop is teach participants about the principles of harm reduction, its evidence based interventions, dispel myths concerning harm reduction, and learn how to build agency policies around harm reduction principles.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Explain at least 3 principles and objectives of harm reduction practices.

Explain 2-3 myths of harm reduction.

Provide at least 2 examples of evidence-based harm reduction practices.

Describe how to build agency policies and procedures around harm reduction principles.

Explain recovery through the lens of harm reduction and examine how agencies can implement harm reduction.
