This continuing education workshop will delve into the complexities of technology’s impact on youth by addressing perceived struggles versus actual outcomes. Through an analysis of quantitative data, we will unpack the limitations and nuances of these challenges. Furthermore, we will investigate the underlying factors shaping perceptions of technology as a problem, unveiling multifaceted realities of its influence on adolescents. This continuing education presentation will explore “taboo” strategies to empower youth in their technology engagement, advocating for fostering awareness and agency, thus shifting the narrative from blame to constructive support in navigating the digital world.
