This presentation will delve into the correlation between the Therapeutic Alliance and clinical outcomes. While discussing its history, we will explore how psychoanalytical perspectives of the Therapeutic Alliance changed over time. Additionally, we will examine research studies that have confirmed the need for a strong Therapeutic Alliance in order to improve client engagement and outcomes. We will then introduce the Care Predictor Index (CPI), an assessment tool that required 3 years of scientific research in order to come to fruition. We will discuss the 24 personality domains identified through research that are required to create a strong Therapeutic Alliance. Attendees will be provided with a link to take the CPI assessment and will receive a “CPI Validated” certificate upon completion and agreeing to take action to optimize their strengths and work on enhancing their areas of growth.
